Women's BJJ Gi and No-Gi Guide: Fit, Sizing and Kit
Short answer: choose a women's cut (F0–F5) and size by weight first, then height. The Kore V2 Women's (€85) is the best value, The ONE V2 Women's (€105) is our all-round first gi, the Nano 3.0 Women's (€110) keeps the weight down and the Ultralight 2.0 Women's (€140) is the lightest women's gi we have weighed. Under the gi, wear a fitted rash guard: the IBJJF requires one in women's divisions. For no-gi, a rash guard and grappling shorts or spats are all you need.

Too many gear guides start from men's sizing and tell women to size down. The result is sleeves past the fingertips and a jacket that gapes at the chest. This guide explains what is really different about a women's gi, how to pick your size, what to wear underneath and which no-gi kit to build, using the Kingz women's range in stock on kingzeurope.com.
What makes a women's gi different
Kingz women's gis use the F scale (F0–F5), with narrower shoulders and a more tapered waist than our men's A sizes. Only the pattern changes. Each women's model keeps the weave, the triple-reinforced stress points and the vulcanised rubber lapel insert of its men's version.
How to choose your size
- Weight first. Your weight decides how the jacket closes across the body, so it matters most.
- Height second. Height adjusts sleeve and trouser length. For IBJJF competition, sleeves must reach within 2 cm of the wrist with the arm extended, and pants within 2 cm of the ankle bone.
- Between two sizes? Go up. A gi that is slightly large can be shrunk to fit; one that is too small cannot be stretched.
Our metric size guide gives every F size in kg and cm, and each product page has its own jacket and trouser measurements. The Ultralight 2.0 and Balistico 4.0 are 100% pre-shrunk; our other women's gis are 95% pre-shrunk, so allow for 3–5% shrinkage. If the fit is wrong, the 60-Day Perfect Fit Guarantee covers an exchange of an unworn, unwashed gi.

What to wear under the gi
In IBJJF women's divisions a stretchy, close-fitting top under the gi is mandatory. It can have short or long sleeves and does not have to follow the belt colour rules; a one-piece swimsuit or gymnastics leotard is also allowed. Elastic leggings or spats may be worn under the pants if they are shorter than the pants. In practice a fitted rash guard is the easiest choice: it stays in place, protects the skin and doubles as no-gi kit.
