Every year, we're seeing more and more young phenoms dominating the highest levels of jiu-jitsu. And every year, more of this group are the progeny of former world champions and Brazilian jiu-jitsu legends, such as Kingz Athlete Sarah Galvão.

Anyone who's been on the mats long enough have basically seen Sarah grow up. The only child of two of the sport's most recognizable legends, Sarah has recently come into her own, following in the footsteps of her parents. 

Her parents need no introduction. Andre Galvão is one of the most dominant competitors in BJJ history, with numerous IBJJF World Championships, ADCC World Championships, and UAEJJF Abu Dhabi Pro Championships among his accolades. Angelica Galvão is one of the most recognizable female competitors of her generation, and has inspired women around the world to step on the mats. They own and run one of the most successful competitive jiu-jitsu teams in the sport: Atos Jiu Jitsu.

Following a record-setting run at blue belt, Sarah was recently promoted to purple belt by her parents. We took a moment to chat with Sarah abut her life, her goals, and what makes her who she is today.
