•
Kingz Kore V2 short sleeve rash guard for no-gi BJJ

Short answer: choose a close-fitting polyester/spandex rash guard with sublimated graphics and flat seams. For daily no-gi training our pick is the Kore V2 Short Sleeve (€42). For IBJJF no-gi events, wear the Ranked Performance V3 (€50 long sleeve, €48 short sleeve), which carries IBJJF-approved rank colours. Training three or more times a week? Keep two or three in rotation.

In no-gi your rash guard is the layer between your skin and the mat, and between you and your training partners. A good one guards against mat burn, moves sweat away so you do not slide out of position and gives light compression through hard rounds. A poor one rides up, pills or loses its print within months. This guide explains what to look for and compares every Kingz rash guard currently in stock on kingzeurope.com.

What to look for

Fabric. Polyester/spandex blends between 80/20 and 90/10 are the standard. More spandex gives more stretch and compression; more polyester gives more durability.

Sublimated graphics. Sublimation dyes the design into the fibres, so it cannot crack or peel the way a printed design can after repeated washing.

Flat seams. Flat seams lie against the skin, so they do not chafe or split when someone grips them.

Fit. It should sit like a second skin, long enough to stay tucked in, with no loose fabric to grab and no pressure on your breathing.

IBJJF rules. For adult IBJJF no-gi divisions the rash guard must be skin-tight, black, white or black and white, with at least 10% of your belt colour; a top that is entirely your belt colour is also allowed.

Our picks

For everyday training: Kore V2 Short Sleeve (€42)

The Kore V2 is the rash guard we built for daily rounds: 90/10 polyester/spandex, a snug athletic cut that stays in place and a price that makes two or three easy to justify. It comes in black, steel blue and olive green, sizes XS–XXL. It also works for MMA, where short sleeves stay cooler in striking rounds.

For IBJJF no-gi: Ranked Performance V3 (€50)

The Ranked Performance V3 puts your belt colour in the shoulder panels and mesh underarm inserts, so it meets IBJJF no-gi colour rules with a clean look. The 80/20 fabric holds its shape and the performance cut leaves the shoulders free. Long sleeve €50, short sleeve €48, in blue, purple, brown and black, sizes XS–4XL.

For women: Terra Women's (€45)

The Terra is cut on a women's pattern in 90/10 polyester/spandex with sublimated graphics, sizes XS–XL. Under the gi, the IBJJF asks women to wear a fitted stretch top, and the colour rules do not apply there, so any of our rash guards works. See the women's no-gi collection.

For kids: Kore V2 Youth (€45)

For children, choose something snug, easy to wash and comfortable enough to forget about. The Kore V2 Youth is 80/20 polyester/spandex in long (€45) or short sleeve (€40), youth sizes XS (4) to XL (12). The Ranked Youth (€40) adds rank-inspired colours in grey, yellow, orange and green. How many do you need?

If you train no-gi more than twice a week, two or three. A rash guard should be washed after every session, and it will not always be dry by the next one. Rotating several means you never put on a damp top, and each one lasts longer.

Long or short sleeve?

Long sleeves give more protection from mat burn and skin contact, which is why most competitors wear them. Short sleeves stay cooler in a warm room and leave the arms freer. Many people own both. For a first rash guard, long sleeve is the safer choice.

Care

Wash cold after every session, inside out, and hang dry. Skip the tumble dryer and fabric softener: heat and softener break down spandex. Size by body weight using the chart on each product page; if the fit is wrong, our 60-Day Perfect Fit Guarantee covers an exchange of unworn items. Standard shipping from our Polish distribution centre is free over €120.
